Welcome to the Child and Parent Centre – Roseworth.
Offering parenting workshops, child and maternal health services, playgroups, early learning programs, counselling and family support, we tailor our services to meet the specific needs of each community.
Playgroups are held at Koondoola, Waddington and Hudson Park Primary Schools and may include learning through music, art and craft activities, outdoor play and morning tea. It is a relaxed and friendly atmosphere where children are encouraged to explore and understand their world.
Child health services provide free services including nutrition, child growth and development assessments. To make a booking to see the Child Health Nurse, please telephone 9342 5061. A drop in clinic is held every Wednesday from 9.30am to 11.30am. Speech Therapists are available by referral to the Child Development Centre Koondoola.
Our centre also run regular parenting workshops such as the Positive Parenting Program (Triple P), protective behaviours, new parent and baby groups young parent workshops (for under 25 year olds) and managing behaviour workshops.
All parents are encouraged to become members of the centre and read our Working Together Agreement. Our Working Together Agreement has been developed by local parents and our Local Advisory Group and is a statement of the values that the community believe are important for all community members, volunteers and staff.
We encourage all families from the local community, surrounding schools and areas to visit our centre. We enjoy working together to create a safe and happy learning environment for children and help and support to their families. We look forward to seeing you at our centre soon.
The Child and Parent Centre – Roseworth is managed by The Smith Family in partnership with Roseworth Primary School.
