About us

It is our pleasure to welcome you to the Child and Parent Centre Brookman.

We are connected with the Department of Education and are a part of Parkerville Children and Youth Care.

We provide cost-free playgroups, early intervention programs for children, parent education and access to health services needed for you and your family to thrive.

Our target age group is 0-8 years old, with a special focus on 0-4 years.

We aim to provide a space where you and your children can meet other families and establish social links. We endeavour to provide guidance in relation to positive parenting, as well as identifying and referring any children who may require support, at an early stage of their lives.

Our centre offers many different types of programs and activities, including:

  • Kindergarten readiness programs
  • Playgroups
  • Sensory, Music & Movement Programs
  • Circle of Security Workshops
  • Parent Support Groups
  • Child Health Checks
  • School holiday activities
  • Parenting information and programs
  • Speech and language programs
  • Occupational therapy programs
  • Parent seminars on topics such as healthy eating, first aid, child behaviour management strategies.

While many activities are held at the Child and Parent Centre, others are held at various locations throughout the community to make it easier for parents to attend. The Child and Parent CentreĀ  Brookman provides its services based on what is required within the community, so ideas and feedback from local families is very important to us.

We also offer the opportunity for referrals to a Speech Pathologist, receive advice from our Occupational Therapist, and to connect with other agencies offering counselling and family support.

If you would like to become more involved in the Child and Parent Centre community, or have any ideas or requests for services, please contact our Centre on 9235 7032 or email CPCBrookman@parkerville.org.au.

The Child and Parent Centre Brookman is managed by Parkerville Children and Youth Care and our host school, Brookman Primary School.
