Weekly Programs – Term 4, 2026

Child and Parent Centre Carey Park Term 4 weekly programs run from Monday 19 October to Friday 11 December. All groups are free to attend.

The Child and Parent Centre Carey Park team is excited to share Every Thing You Want To See by Western Australian author and illustrator Kyle Hughes-Odgers. Filled with colourful illustrations and opportunities for imagination, this beautiful book encourages children and families to slow down, look closely, and discover the wonder in the world around them.

Every Thing You Want To See is one of three books in Fremantle Press’ Little Bookaburras collection, a special set gifted to Child and Parent Centre Carey Park families to support a love of reading and sharing stories together at home.

This book was selected as one of our featured stories by children attending playgroups at Child and Parent Centre Carey Park as part of our commitment to Child Safe Organisation Principle 2: Children and young people are informed of their rights, participate in decisions affecting them and are taken seriously.

🎵 Musical Mondays (followed by morning tea)

Mondays | 9:30am – 11:15am

Our music sessions are full of fun, movement, and learning! Children enjoy singing familiar songs, participating in actions and movement activities, and creating a musical instrument craft each week. Repeating songs throughout the term helps build confidence, language skills, and early literacy.

Please note: To give everyone plenty of room to sing, dance, and move, the first part of Musical Mondays is held in the Carey Park Primary School Undercover Area.

Designed to support language, physical development, and school readiness, this session is particularly beneficial for children starting Kindy or Pre-Primary in 2027. Each session is followed by morning tea, providing an opportunity for families to connect while children continue to play.

Suitable for children aged birth to 4 years.

👶 Baby Play

Mondays | 1:00pm – 2:30pm

Baby Play is a welcoming playgroup for babies up to 12 months and their parents or carers. Through gentle sensory experiences, songs, and play-based activities, babies can explore, learn, and develop new skills in a calm and nurturing environment.

It’s also a wonderful opportunity to connect with other local families, share experiences, and strengthen the bond with your baby.

Suitable for babies aged 0–12 months.

🌼 Radiance Support Group

Tuesdays | 10:30am – 12:00pm

Radiance is a supportive group for mothers looking to build resilience, strengthen emotional wellbeing, and nurture their relationship with their baby during the early months of parenthood.

Referrals are required. Please speak with your Child Health Nurse, GP, or Child and Parent Centre Carey Park staff for more information.

🧸 Playgroup

Wednesdays | 9:00am – 11:00am

Our playgroup offers a relaxed and welcoming environment where children can play, explore, and learn at their own pace. Each week, children can choose from a variety of activities including craft, sensory play, sandpit play, imaginative play, and social games.

Activities are designed to support social, emotional, physical, and language development. A healthy snack is provided for children, along with a cuppa for parents and carers.

Suitable for children aged birth to 4 years.

💙 MyTime Support Group

Thursdays | 9:00am – 11:00am

MyTime provides support for parents and carers of children with a disability, developmental delay, or chronic medical condition.

The group offers a chance to connect with others who understand the unique joys and challenges of caring for a child with additional needs. While adults enjoy conversation and support, children can participate in a range of engaging activities supervised by our experienced Play Leaders.

Parents and carers are welcome to attend with or without their children.

Suitable for parents and carers of children aged up to 18 years.

🌳 Playgroup at Maidens Park Primary School Kindy Area

Fridays | 8:30am – 10:30am

This community playgroup is open to all families in the Bunbury area, and families are welcome to arrive at any time during the session.

Children can choose from a range of play experiences including craft, sandpit activities, imaginative play, and social games, all designed to support early learning and development. A healthy snack is provided for children, and parents and carers can enjoy a cuppa while connecting with other local families.

Suitable for children aged birth to 4 years.
