About Us
Welcome to the Child and Parent Centre – Dudley Park.
Our centre offers a range of FREE services and programs for families with children from birth to eight years of age, in Dudley Park and surrounding areas.
All of our programs are tailored to meet the needs of our community and include workshops like Triple P, Protective Behaviours, Circle of Security and other parent help programs to help ensure you and your children are ready for school. Onsite we have a friendly Child Health Nurse and Speech Pathologist.
Child Health Nurse
Our onsite Child Health Nurse phone number (08) 9582 7931. Drop-in clinic is on Wednesday mornings at 9.00am – 10.30am.
Speech Pathologist
If you have any concerns or questions about your child’s speech development, please feel free to come along to one of our playgroups to chat to our Speech Pathologist. Please contact the Child and Parent Centre to find out when our Speech Pathologist is next available at one of our playgroups.
Immunisations
Immunisation is held every fortnight Thursday at the Child and Parent Centre. Please phone (08) 9586 4401 for appointments.
Other Services
Some of the other services available at the Child and Parent Centre are as follows:
- Early Parenting groups facilitated by a Child Health Nurse
- Parenting workshops, such as Triple P, Protective Behaviours, Fear-Less, Toileting and many more.
- Parenting workshops in collaboration with Parenting Connection WA, such as Circle of Security, 123 Magic and Emotion Coaching, Tuning Into Kids, Tuning Into Teens and many more.
- Transition to kindergarten programs (term 4 only)
- Special events, such as NAIDOC celebrations, Children’s Weeks, Harmony Day, Easter and many more.
- School holiday programs, including our big events in partnership with Mandurah Performing Arts Centre and school holiday themed playgroups on site.
Playgroups
Playgroup is a great way to have fun playing with your child providing children lots of valuable learning opportunities through play. It is a great way of connecting with new friends and finding parenting support. We currently run a range of different playgroups.
By attending our playgroups your child will:

- Develop social skills, language and communication
- Learn about caring for others and the environment
- Develop physical skills
- Build skills in preparation for your child starting Kindy
Monday and Friday Playtime
Every Monday and Friday (during school term) we have playgroup, 9.30am-11.30am. These playgroups have age-appropriate activities available for children aged birth to 5 years. The playgroups conclude with book sharing and rhyme time.
Music and Movement
Every Tuesday (during school term) we have a music and movement group, 9.30am-10.30am. This group is a movement and music-based program for you and your child to enjoy together. Music and movement help your child’s development through improved vocabulary, communication, and physical skills.
Kindy Café at Mandurah Primary
Kindy Café program is an interactive rhyme time session followed by a fun toddler art and craft session. This is a great opportunity for parents to work alongside their child helping in their preparation for school. Kindy Café is for ages birth to 5 years.
Kindy Café is held at Mandurah Primary School (Hackett Street, Mandurah) every Wednesday morning 8.45am-11.00am (during school term) in room 7.
Explorers
Every Thursday (during school term) we invite you and your child to explore the world through our “Explorers” program. This is a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths) based investigative playtime. Time: 9.30am-11.00am. This is for ages 18 months to 5 years.
Dads and Kids Breakfast Club Playgroup
Dads and Kids Breakfast Club Playgroup is held at the Child and Parent centre every fortnight Saturday morning 9.30am-11.30am. Come along and connect with other dads and their children and enjoy a FREE BBQ breakfast. Please see term planner for relevant dates.
The Child and Parent Centre – Dudley Park is managed by Anglicare WA in partnership with Dudley Park Primary School.
