Our parenting workshops offer a supportive space to explore the hows, whats, and whys of raising children. Led by experienced, compassionate professionals, these sessions are designed to empower you with practical tools and insights—helping you parent with confidence and in line with your values.
1-2-3 Magic and Emotion Coaching: Inclusive Adaptation (3 sessions)
Monday 28 July & 4, 11 August | 6:00pm to 8:30pm @ Child and Parent Centre Carey Park | Dinner provided
Parents will learn to identify, manage, and encourage positive behaviour in children using strategies such as the 1-2-3 Magic® program, emotion coaching, and the 3 choices model. They will also be taught effective discipline techniques that avoid yelling or physical punishment, as well as empathetic listening to build resilience.

Emotion Coaching Your Toddler (6 sessions)
Friday 1, 8, 15, 22, 29 August & 5 September | 9:30am to 11:00am @ College Community Child Care | Creche provided
This course helps parents of toddlers aged 12–36 months understand emotional intelligence, toddler development, and how to recognise and respond to their child’s emotions early. Parents will learn to use emotional moments as teaching opportunities, expand emotional vocabulary, apply calming techniques, and practice problem-solving and limit-setting strategies.

Infant Massage | Parents/caregivers of babies (up to crawling stage)
Friday 8 August | 11:00am to 12:00pm @ Child and Parent Centre Carey Park
This baby massage course offers numerous benefits for both you and your baby. Learn soothing techniques to improve your baby’s sleep, digestion, and overall comfort, while also strengthening your bond. It’s a great opportunity to learn new skills, enjoy quality time with your little one, and connect with other parents. Babies attend with parent/s for real life practice!

Aussie Optimism | Social, Emotional and Resilience Building Strategies for Parents of Primary School Children

The Aussie Optimism Program, developed by Curtin University, aims to reduce anxiety and depression while promoting positive mental health in children, adolescents, and school communities. This session offers parents simple, enjoyable, and effective strategies to support their child’s social and emotional development.

Anxiety Coaching for Parents (3 sessions)

Parents will learn ways to help their children manage worries and understand where anxiety comes from in the brain. They’ll also find out how to spot unhelpful thinking, know when to let kids take risks, and use easy sayings and mindfulness exercises to support their child.
