Our parenting workshops offer a supportive space to explore the how’s, what’s, and why’s of raising children. Led by experienced, compassionate professionals, these sessions are designed to empower you with practical tools and insights—helping you parent with confidence and in line with your values.


Circle of Security Parenting (8 sessions) Two options available!

In-person: Starts Thursday 27 August | 12:30pm to 2:30pm @ Child and Parent Centre Carey Park | Creche not available

Online: Starts Tuesday 1 September | 7:00pm to 9:00pm via ZOOM

This program focuses on supporting and strengthening parent-child relationships. It teaches new ways to understand and respond to your child’s needs, support their ability to manage emotions, enhance their self-esteem, and honour your innate wisdom and desire for your child to feel secure. Recommended for parents of children from 6 months to 5 years.

This program will be facilitated by Deb from Parenting Ways, and the in-person session will be supported by Suzanne from WA Country Health Service. We acknowledge Parenting Connection WA for their funding support of this program.

Learning to Separate – for parents/caregivers of children up to 6 years old

Thursday 30 July | 12:30pm to 2:30pm @ Child and Parent Centre Carey Park | Creche provided

Some children find it hard to be away from their parent or caregiver. This is very common. In this session, you will learn simple ideas to help your child feel safe, confident, and calm when separating from you.

This workshop is part of the Triple P – Positive Parenting Program, an evidence-based program used around the world to support families.

We will cover:

  • Why children find separation difficult
  • How to support your child with big feelings
  • Easy strategies to help your child mix with others
  • Ways to build your child’s confidence over time

This is a relaxed and supportive session led by local Department of Education School Psychologists.

Where’s My Village? For parents/caregivers of babies up to 12 months

Friday 14 August | 10:00am to 11:30am @ Child and Parent Centre Carey Park | Babies attend too!

Parenting was never meant to be done alone.

Join Samantha, The Matrescence Mentor, for a supportive and interactive workshop designed to help parents and carers identify the people, services and supports around them—even when support feels hard to find.

Together, we’ll explore:

  • The challenges facing modern families
  • What a “village” means for you and your family
  • Ways to connect with other parents and carers
  • Practical steps to build your own support network

This welcoming session is ideal for parents and carers of babies aged 0–12 months who are looking for connection, support and reassurance during the early parenting journey.
