Weekly Programs – Term 1, 2026
Child and Parent Centre Carey Park Term 1 weekly programs run from Monday 9 February to Thursday 2 April. All groups are free to attend.
Join us this term on our hunt for the green sheep!! Where is the Green Sheep? written by Mem Fox and illustrated by Judy Horacek was the children’s choice for our book of the term. This much-loved classic has few words and literal pictures, making it very easy for children to join in the reading. It’s a great way for children to learn concepts such as colours, shapes, transport, and weather. Where is the Green Sheep? was selected as our book theme for Term 1 by the children attending playgroups at Child and Parent Centre Carey Park.

Musical Mondays (followed by morning tea)
Mondays 9:30am to 11:15am
Our music sessions are busy, noisy and fun! We sing the same songs each week for a term to help the children become familiar with the words and movements, plus they make a musical instrument craft every session. Our music program is designed to focus on language and physical development skills and is ideal for children starting kindy or pre-primary in 2027. Every music session is followed by a morning tea, providing an opportunity for the adults to chat while the children play. For children aged birth to 4 years.
